Harlequin Players

The Happy Time

The Happy Time, by Samuel Taylor, a lighthearted drama set in Ottawa in the 1920s, was Harlequin Players' second production. The show centered around young Bibi (played by Paul Betz) and his antic French-Canadian family, with key roles filled by Joe Burba, Peggy Long, Lewis Shiner, Frank Murray, Frances Alford, and (beginning a long and distinguished Harlequin acting career) Bill Hootkins.
