Harlequin Players

The Cave Dwellers

The opening of The Cave Dwellers on June 24, 1965, marked the beginning of the Harlequin era. William Saroyan's 1957 play about a group of washed-up misfits hunkering in an abandoned New York theatre provided the cast of twelve with ample opportunity for dramatic expression. Lead roles were filled by Sean Mitchell, Martha Ann Pietzsch, Christine Mauricio, and Kimberly Webb (making his acting debut).
