Harlequin Players

Under Milkwood

As their fourth production of 1968, Harlequin Players and The Masquers collaborated on a pair of one-act plays. Reviving an informal production from the 1967-68 school year, the Harlequins presented a revue based on the British comedy Beyond the Fringe. SMU student Milton Justice directed, and the cast consisted of veteran Harlequins John Alberts, Mark Capri, Mike Minzer, and Lewis Shiner. After intermission, the two groups collaborated on (yet another!) production of Dylan Thomas's Under Milkwood. The show was also presented as the groups' annual entry at the NorthPark Festival of Arts.
