Harlequin Players

Inherit the Wind

Harlequins' second 1967 regular-season show, Lawrence & Lee's Inherit the Wind, was a familiar one to Dallas audiences, the play having received its world premiere at Fair Park in 1955. With dozens of different roles, the play stretched the ingenuity and patience of the entire company. The set, costume, and props challenges were similarly daunting; as an example, the show was the first and last Harlequin production to feature a live monkey on stage.
