Students Celebrate International Week

Each October, St. Mark’s celebrates International Week with a series of activities, both in and out of the classroom, highlighting our world’s diverse languages and cultures.

This year, Lower School students created a special quilt in the Commons with patches highlighting each student’s heritage. Middle and Upper School students participated in a poster contest, competed in culture competitions at assembly, practiced with a Japanese fan dancer, and played sepak takraw, a Southeast Asian sport similar to volleyball. Students and faculty were also treated to a variety of international cuisine in the cafeteria, from chili rellenos to orange peel chicken.
