Water Polo Wins State, MVP, and Coach of the Year

On Saturday, May 3, 2014, St. Mark’s Water Polo team blew away the competition at the Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association State Championship. The “Sea Lions" won the title after defeating Clear Creek High School 12-5 in the championship game. 
 
Additionally, the team earned a number of individual awards. Tim Simenc ’15 was named tournament MVP, Jack Mallick ’15 and Nathan Ondracek ’15 were named 1st State Team, and Matt Mahowald ’14 and Bradley Mankoff ’14 were named Honorable Mention State Team. Also, Coach Mihai Oprea was named TISCA Water Polo Coach of the Year.
