Clothing Drive Breaks Record

On Friday, September 20, the 2013 Community Service Clothing Drive ended with a record-breaking collection of almost 6,100 pounds of clothes. The previous record, set last year, was about 5,750 pounds.

Community Service Board Member Jonathan Ng ’14 commented on the difference the donations will have on North Texas: “These clothes will go to people who really need them and make a big impact in their daily lives.”

The nearly 250 bags of clothes collected during the two-week donation drive will benefit St. Vincent de Paul’s Thrift Shop, Austin Street Centre, Genesis Women’s Shelter and the Salvation Army.
