Choir Kicks Off Season

The first Evensong of the 2013–2014 school year will be held on Sunday, October 6, at 7:00 p.m. in the St. Mark's Chapel. Choral Evensong, a traditional service of evening prayer performed by the Choir, has been a tradition at St. Mark's for more than half a century.

Raymond Guo ’15 will be the featured carillonneur performing before the service begins. Opening with the organ prelude at 6:45 p.m., Evensong will include the music of English Renaissance composers Richard Farrant and William Byrd, settings of the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis by George Dyson, and Preces and Responses by Paul Spicer.

As always, the public is invited to attend.
