Publications named national finalists

All five of St. Mark’s Upper School student publications from the 2021–2022 school year were named as Crown finalists yesterday by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA). This is the highest national recognition given to student publications by the organization. 
 
Named as Crown finalists are:
  • Focus magazine — editors: Morgan Chow ’23 and Ian Dalrymple ‘23 
  • Marksmen yearbook — editor: Camden Reeves ‘22 
  • Scientific Marksmen — editors: Jonathan Yin ’22 and Jeremy Yu ‘22
  • The Marque literary magazine — editors: Thomas Philip ’22 and Ekansh Tambe ‘22 
  • The ReMarker newspaper — editor: Austin Williams ‘22
 
Publications will find out in March 2023 at the annual convention of CSPA in New York whether they receive the Gold or Silver Crown designation.
