On Friday night, the 4-0 Lions’ varsity football team traveled to Houston to take on the 4-1 Kinkaid Falcons. The Lions fell behind early as Kinkaid executed a flurry of big plays on offense, amounting a 42-7 halftime lead. The Lions rallied from their first-half mistakes to pose a valiant effort in the second half, scoring three second-half touchdowns that included runs of 86 and 88 yards by senior Niles Harvey. They fought to the finish but the Falcons outlasted them 64-27. The 4-1 Lions return home to take on Houston Christian this Friday night in Hunt Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
