  • Due to the presence of young Marksmen on campus, no scary costumes
  • Costumes may not include any kind of weapon, real or pretend
  • Inappropriate/offensive language or visuals are unacceptable
  • Costume masks are permissible (but not in class)
  • Uniform masks are still required
  • Boys may not wear uniforms of another school (Hogwarts is fine)
  • Costumes should not interfere with participation in any class (academic or athletic)
  • Halloween is not a free dress day.  Please closely follow the guidelines and use good judgment.
  • Boys who do not follow the spirit of the guidelines below may be asked to change into their school uniforms.
  • Marksmen who wish not to participate should wear their traditional school uniforms to school.

Lower School

On Friday, October 29, Lower School boys may have a free dress day. They may wear appropriate play clothes (no costumes) to school. Tennis shoes for running at P.E. and recess are required, but these do not have to be the black, “school” tennis shoes. Of course, if they wish, they may wear their full, regular uniform. Lower School will also celebrate Halloween parties in their classes.
