With many college students returning home for the winter break, St. Mark’s invited college-age alumni back to campus on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, to reconnect with their school and hear from alumni mentors about what lies ahead. More than 50 young alumni from the Classes of 2022-2025 attended College-Age Marksmen Day, beginning with a lunch on campus with classmates and former teachers.
Afterwards, a panel of alumni professionals shared insights and advice with the younger generation preparing to begin their careers. The panel included Cory Morrow ’87, Michael Todora ’89, Joe Zopolsky ’92, Jon Myhre ’96, Ben Hughes ’03, Alex Korngut ’06, Beau Falgout ’09, Drew Nicholas ’09, and William Hicks ’10.
The panel discussion was organized by the
Alumni Board's Mentoring & Networking Committee, chaired by Drew Nicholas ’09.
"Staying connected to St. Mark’s helps young alumni realize that they’re not alone as they take their first professional steps," said Nicholas. "Like so many Marksmen, I am inspired by the opportunity to stay involved with, and give back to, the community that has given us so much. Mentorship is just one of the ways we are invited to continue walking the Path to Manhood together."
The panel discussed a wide range of topics, from the challenges and opportunities of AI to the importance of building personal relationships. Some shared their unexpected career paths and transitions and how, regardless of the circumstances, they were able to fall back on the foundational lessons they learned at St. Mark’s.
In the afternoon, the
Student Alumni Association hosted a panel discussion with some of the college-age alumni: Alex Ryan ’22, Sal Hussain ’23, Raja Mehendale ’24, and William Morrow ’25. Students asked about life in college, how to get involved, and the transition from St. Mark’s.
“The main piece of advice is to push yourself out of your comfort zone in college and grow as a person through new experiences like living in a different part of the country, being away from your family, and making new friends,” said William. "St. Mark's equips each student with a unique basket of skills that allows them to thrive in whatever situation they end up in.”
The Alumni Association continues to offer opportunities for all Marksmen to stay connected and serve as mentors to the next generation. Alumni can utilize
Marksmen Connect, an online tool to connect professionally with other graduates. Marksmen interested in serving as mentors can contact
Jack Mallick ’14, Ahlberg & Ribman Family Director of Alumni Relations, to learn more.
The School will also welcome all graduates back to campus this spring for
Alumni Weekend, April 23-25, 2026, where classes ending in 1 and 6 will celebrate reunions.
