Twelve ceramics pieces created by six St. Mark's Upper School students were accepted for the Seventh Annual National K-12 Ceramics Exhibition. The National Council on Education in the Ceramics Arts Conference is an annual event that has included an exhibition of student art for the past several years. This is a juried exhibition and this year's juror was Val Cushing, a retired Professor of Ceramics Art at the Alfred School of Art and Design.
St. Mark's ceramics teacher, Bill Kysor, announced that seniors Harris Darver, Marcello Ortega, Kace Phillips, Alex Sobey, Joe Lauinger, and Drew McDonald all had pieces chosen for the exhibition which was held in Indianapolis, Indiana, March 17-20.
