As the 2025-2026 school year begins, 13 professionals walked onto campus as the latest additions to St. Mark’s faculty and staff. Together, they represent a wide range of backgrounds and draw from a rich well of academic and professional experience. One is returning to Dallas from nearly a decade teaching in Spain; another is an award-winning actor and stage director; and another is entering education after co-founding a Silicon Valley startup. And while this group comes to St. Mark's from a wide array of backgrounds, they are all now united by a singular mission: teaching boys to become men of character.
“What really attracted me to St. Mark’s is the students – their character, their pursuit of excellence, and their curiosity,” said Kevin Fine, who joins the Science Department after a career developing home energy storage products for companies like Tesla. “I’m excited to introduce them to the mindset of design and engineering, and to help nurture the next generation of creators who will make the world a better place.”
The new members of the faculty and staff represent a mix of both familiar and fresh faces. Newly appointed English and Humanities teacher Dr. Will Roudabush taught Marksmen last year as a long-term substitute, while also pursuing his Ph.D. at Southern Methodist University.
“St. Mark’s is a beautiful and transformative place,” Roudabush told The ReMarker student newspaper in an article published last year. “I really love getting to sit around the Harkness table with the seniors in my class. Everyone’s engaged and eager to learn, and it’s a collaborative environment. That’s what education is about.”
These new faculty and staff members will join their colleagues on Monday, August 25, to welcome boys to the first day of St. Mark’s 120th school year.
