Lower School Extended Day
The St. Mark’s Extended Day Program offers a safe and fun environment for Lower School students. It provides an opportunity to make friends, play, and study. The Extended Day Program operates on all or most days that St. Mark’s Lower School is in session for a full day (It is not available on days when the Lower School has early dismissal). The second semester of the St. Mark’s Extended Day program will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, and it will be available to students from school dismissal until 6 p.m.

About Extended Day
The Extended Day Program is operated by St. Mark’s School of Texas and as such, the Honor Principle and Pledge and the Lower School Rules will serve as behavioral guidelines for students participating in the program. Erica Hershner and Jennifer Gordy serve as co-directors for the Lower School Extended Day Program.
Enrollment:
Students must register in advance for enrollment in the Extended Day Program. Boys who are enrolled may attend Extended Day until 6 p.m. each day that Lower School is in session (except as noted below*) and will be billed by the Business Office on a semester basis only. Registration for the spring 2026 semester must be completed by 4 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 14, to ensure a space is available for your son. The spring 2026 tuition rate will be $1,950. The spring semester of Extended Day will not include a drop-in or partial week payment option.

- Students participating in the Extended Day Program will be released from their classrooms to a member of the Extended Day staff.
- A snack will be offered to every student when he checks in to the program.
- Extended Day closes at 6 p.m. Late fees are assessed as $20/15-minute increments after 6 p.m.
- Preregistration is required for enrollment in the Extended Day program.
- For security reasons, only those people who are listed in SchoolPass as authorized to pick up may sign your son out of Extended Day.
- Please complete the Extended Day registration form above by 4 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026.
- The following days are exceptions:
- Wednesday, April 22 – Extended Day closes at 4:30 p.m. – New Family Ice Cream Social
- Friday, May 15 – No Extended Day: Blue & Gold Day (1/2 day)
- Friday, May 22 – No Extended Day: Last Day of School (1/2 day)
