Lower School Extended Day

The St. Mark’s Extended Day Program offers a safe and fun environment for Lower School students. It provides an opportunity to make friends, play, and study. The Extended Day Program operates on all or most days that St. Mark’s Lower School is in session for a full day (Extended Day is not available on days when the Lower School has early dismissal). The first semester of the St. Mark’s Extended Day program will begin on Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, and will be available to students from school dismissal until 6 p.m.

Registration must be completed for the 2026-2027 fall semester by 4 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 20, to ensure there is a space available for your son. The first semester tuition rate will be $2,000. First semester Extended Day will not include a drop-in or partial week payment option.

About Extended Day

The Extended Day Program is operated by St. Mark’s School of Texas and as such, the Honor Principle and Pledge and the Lower School Rules will serve as behavioral guidelines for students participating in the program. Jennifer Gordy and Kathy Mallick serve as co-directors for the Lower School Extended Day Program.

Enrollment:
Students must register in advance for enrollment in the Extended Day Program. Boys who are enrolled may attend Extended Day until 6 p.m. each day that Lower School is in session (except as noted below) and will be billed by the Business Office on a semester basis only. Registration must be completed for the first semester by 4 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 20, to ensure there is a space available for your son. First semester tuition rate will be $2,100. The first semester of Extended Day will not include a drop-in or partial week payment option.

Additional Information:

Students participating in the Extended Day Program will be released from their classrooms to a member of the Extended Day staff.
A snack will be offered to every student when he checks in to the program.
Extended Day closes at 6 p.m. Late fees are assessed at $20/15-minute increments after 6 p.m.
Preregistration is required for enrollment in the Extended Day program.
For security reasons, only those people who are listed in SchoolPass as authorized to pick up may sign your son out of Extended Day.
Please complete the Extended Day registration form above by 4 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026.
The following days are exceptions:
- Friday, Aug. 28 – Lion Pride Night: Extended Day closes at 5 p.m.
- Friday, Oct. 2 – Fall Fun Day: Extended Day closes at 4 p.m.
- Wednesday, Oct. 14 – Admission Open House: Extended Day closes at 4:00 p.m.
- Friday, Dec. 11 – Lower School 1/2 day: No Extended Day
- Friday, Dec. 18 – All-School Christmas Party, 1/2 day: No Extended Day
