In the proud tradition of St. Mark’s athletics, a number of graduating seniors have been actively recruited and plan to pursue intercollegiate athletics next year. Several Marksmen from the Class of 2004 have made preliminary commitments to compete at some of our nation’s top Colleges and Universities.
Two of St. Mark’s highly acclaimed fencers, Steve Ahn ’04 and John Lin ’04 , are planning to attend Harvard University where they will fence for the Crimson.
After a long and competitive recruiting season, Blakely Thornton ’04 recently committed to play football at the University of Pennsylvania and study at the Wharton School of Business.
Another very highly recruited senior, Kenton Thornton ’04 , has committed to play football at The University of Texas, where he will follow his two older brothers, Kyle Thornton ’03 and Kalen Thornton ’00.
Schools across the country are actively recruiting a number of other seniors including Nick Cassevechia ’04 (baseball), Gene Hardin ’04 (golf), Ryan Sablotny ’04 (baseball) and Damon Wright ’04 (basketball, baseball).
