Alumni Mentor Students

One of the greatest assets to St. Mark’s alumni is the power of the Marksman Network. The brotherhood forged on campus extends across decades, growing stronger with each generation. Last week, more than a dozen St. Mark’s graduates returned to campus to share their professional experiences with Upper School students across a range of fields, including business and finance, medicine and healthcare, law and government, and technology and entrepreneurship. The alumni mentors participated in a group discussion and then answered questions from students.

“The Mentoring and Networking event opened my eyes to some of the tasks I should do before heading off to college,” said Eliott Ford ’18, Co-President of St. Mark’s Student Alumni Association. “It’s always helpful when an experienced professional in my field of interest is able to speak candidly and offer tips that will make my journey smoother.”

Throughout the afternoon, alumni highlighted many of the experiences that shaped them into the people they are today, as well as the values they use in both their professional careers and personal lives. The Q&A sessions allowed boys to get answers to their specific questions and engage more fully with the speakers.

St. Mark’s thanks the 17 alumni who so generously volunteered their time to strengthen the Marksman Network. The event was organized by the St. Mark’s Student Alumni Association and the Alumni Board’s Mentor & Networking Committee, which aims to increase the networking opportunities available to current students and young alumni.
