Teacher Featured in Art Exhibition

This month, industrial arts instructor John Frost is one of three artists featured in Texas Christian University’s Home Base Alumni Exhibition. The biennial group exhibition celebrates the continued artistic achievements of TCU School of Art alumni. Mr. Frost’s work, initially conceived during his professional development residency at Anderson Ranch Art Center in Colorado, manipulates and distorts ideas of balance, fragility, and the potential for motion.

“My work is about the search for equilibrium even when things seem out of balance,” Mr. Frost said. “When life is hectic, stressful, and seemingly unsustainable, it’s about making things ‘work’ and creating ‘level and plumb.’”

The Home Base Alumni Exhibition is hosted at the Moudy Gallery on the TCU Campus and is open to the public through October 27.
