Prestigious Recognition for Senior

Chandler Burke ’13 was awarded the prestigious Nestlé Very Best in Youth award from Nestlé USA on April 2, 2013. The award recognizes Chandler for his many achievements in both academics and community service. An Eagle Scout and National Merit Finalist, Chandler was also offered the prestigious Morehead-Cain Scholarship at UNC. He is the President of the Dallas Chapter of the National Society of Children of the American Revolution and was selected to star in the national television show "Scouting for Adventure."  Chandler is a passionate outdoorsman and has spearheaded conservation projects to preserve the Blackland Prairie, an endangered ecosystem unique to North Texas.

Chandler will be flown to a red-carpet awards ceremony and receive a $1,000 donation to the charity of his choice.

The Nestlé Very Best in Youth award honors young people for their academic excellence and proven dedication to improving communities and creating a better tomorrow. Chandler is one of only eighteen students nationwide to receive the award.
