The ReMarker Does It Again

The 2016-2017 ReMarker newspaper has been named a finalist for the Pacemaker Award by the National Scholastic Press Association, the highest award given by the national organization.

The ReMarker joins 49 other student newspapers from around the country as Pacemaker finalists. Winners of the Pacemaker award will be announced at NSPA’s fall convention here in Dallas in November.

Editor of The ReMarker was Case Lowry ‘17, now a student in the Plan II program at the University of Texas at Austin. Other members of the class of 2017 who held key positions on the staff include Rish Basu, John Crawford, Corday Cruz, Crawford McCrary, Gopal Raman and Frank Thomas.
 
Current students who played key roles on the publication include seniors Andre Arsenault, Davis Bailey, Owen Berger, Carson Crocker, Rett Daugbjerg, Blake Daughtery, Alec Dewar, Will Forbes, Zach Gilstrap, Mike Mahowald, Nick Malvezzi, Naftal Mautia, Austin Montgomery, Waseem Nabulsi, Reece Rabin, Jimmy Rodriguez, Kobe Roseman, Riley Sanders, Sam Shane, and Sam Sussman.
