DISD Nominates St. Mark’s Volunteers

For the second year in a row, St. Mark’s has been recognized as an Outstanding Organization Partner finalist by the Dallas Independent School District. In addition, DISD recognized Gopal Raman ’17 as a finalist for the Volunteer Impact Award for Student Support. Both the School and Gopal are considered for this award for mentoring and tutoring DISD students every Saturday at Gooch Elementary.

St. Mark’s students have been volunteering at Gooch for nearly four years. Just this year alone, Marksmen have contributed more than 1,500 hours to the school, with an average of twenty boys attending each week to tutor, mentor, and read with younger students.
