Dwight Phillips Receives Ralph B. Rogers Award

At Upper School Final Assembly, Dwight Phillips was awarded the Ralph B. Rogers Alumni Award. The Award honors the legacy of Ralph B. Rogers, the Rogers family, and the St. Mark’s faculty and is given to a faculty member for their contributions outside of the classroom.

Dwight joined the St. Mark’s community in 2000 as a member of the Athletic Department and immediately became a role model and mentor for every Marksman with his selfless and genuine disposition. Over the years, he has coached Middle School volleyball, Middle School track and field, and Lower School P.E., impacting Marksmen through his dedication to making students better athletes, and more importantly, better men.

As one of his students commented, “His ability to demonstrate compassion, leadership, enthusiasm, and love make it clear: Coach doesn’t just love this School, he loves everyone in it. He is constantly focused on the others around him.”

Dwight Phillips' kindness and sincere care for others has instilled a positive, compassionate spirit in his students. He embodies the Marksmen values of generosity and service, and goes above and beyond as both an educator and a coach.
