School Hosts Debate Tournament

Students, coaches, and judges from more than 30 states visited St. Mark's over the weekend of October 18, 2013, to compete in the Heart of Texas Invitational debate tournament. The St. Mark's debate team aided faculty and parent volunteers in hosting the more than 500 visitors who took part in the tournament, almost twice as many as last year.
 
The policy debate division was won by Dylan Ogle and Hemanth Sanjeev of  Stratford Academy (GA) who defeated Arjun Krishnan and Katie Fraser of Lexington High School (MA).
 
The St. Mark's debate team is coached by Tim Mahoney.
