Debate Team Claims Early Victories

This year, more than 17,000 students will participate in policy debate and the St. Mark's team is off to a great start. Over the weekend of September 21, seniors Charlie Marshall and Nikhil Jain won all of their debates and took top honors at the Grapevine Classic, a tier-two nationally competitive tournament. On Monday, September 23, the team put the finishing touches on The Greenhill School Tournament, the first tier-one nationally competitive tournament of the year. While compiling an overall record of 19-1, Charlie and Nikhil have wins over nationally-ranked teams from Bishop Guertin (NH), Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart (FL), College Prep School (CA), and The Westminster Schools (GA).
