Marksmen Named YoungArts Finalists

Two Marksmen have been named finalists in the YoungArts program: Michael Gilliland ’13 (photography) and Robbey Orth ’13 (2D Art/Painting). As finalists, Michael and Robbey will be invited to attend YoungArts Week in Miami, where they will join approximately 150 other participants to work with distinguished master teachers and mentors.

The National YoungArts Foundation was established in 1981 to identify and support the next generation of artists, and to contribute to the cultural vitality of the nation. YoungArts also serves as the exclusive nominating agency for the U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts, the country's highest honor for artistically talented high school seniors.

Additionally, Honorable Mentions were bestowed on Cameron Baxley ’14 and Lance Bock ’14 for their woodworking and Halbert Bai '14 for his photography.
