Summer Reading Seminars

On August 27th, the day before the start of the fall semester, Upper School students returned to campus, books in hand, for the 4th annual Summer Reading Seminars.

Students chose from a book list submitted by faculty and staff members, but the identity of each discussion leader was kept a close secret until students walked into the classrooms. Faculty and staff from all over the campus led discussions, including teachers, administrators, staff members, and the Headmaster.

This year's book list provided an eclectic selection of fiction and non-fiction, from Steve Jobs to Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
The Summer Reading Seminars were first held in 2009, and are organized by Upper School English teacher Bobbi Mailer.
