This year, we're excited to welcome crowds back into the stadiums, fields, and gyms to bring unrivaled energy to the Lions’ Den! Stay up to date on the latest sports news by following the St. Mark's Athletics Twitter. Special thanks to the Super Fan Men for their athletic journalism in providing the updates below.

FOOTBALL
After a shortened season last year, the Lions are ready to get back in the trenches and dog out a dominant season. New Head Coach Harry Flaherty has been working tirelessly with the team over the past few weeks of training camp. The Lions open their season this Friday at Fort Worth Country Day. Captains Alex Nadalini ’22 and Elijah Ellis ’22 are ready to lead their teammates on the field, so we hope to see a big show of support in the stands!

VOLLEYBALL
Seeking to restore the glory of their 2018 SPC Championship, the varsity volleyball team is geared up and ready to go. Miller Trubey ’22 and Will Shoup ’22 have been developing their verticals, so they will be flying high to spike home the sets placed from George Warren ’22. The team just wrapped up tryouts and sets their sights on Greenhill, on the evening of Wednesday, September 8.

CROSS COUNTRY
Breaking record after record last year, Sahil Dodda ’22 is ready to run straight into SPC competition and blaze a path for his teammates to follow. The boys brought home an impressive North Zone victory last year, and they’re looking to take it to the big stage.

FENCING
The fencing squad has sharpened their swords over the summer and is preparing to square up in an unrivaled fashion. The team is looking formidable this year, and Spencer Burke ’22 and Tomek Marczewski ’22 are ready to show the world how it’s done!
