Seniors Announce Legacy Gift

On Friday, May 29, 2020, during the faculty and staff’s year-end virtual meeting, Senior Class Vice President Daniel Ardila ’20 presented the Class of 2020’s Legacy Gift. All 89 Seniors pledged a total of more than $25,000 to St. Mark’s in tribute to the School’s faculty and staff, to be completed over the next four years. The gift will support three priorities: the St. Mark’s Fund, which contributes to the annual operating budget and benefits all Marksmen and their teachers; the Path to Manhood Scholarship, which provides tuition assistance; and the Senior Support Fund, which helps Marksmen with senior year expenses. In addition, the graduating class is working on a few upcoming gifts that will pay tribute to this school year.

“In a year unlike any other, our faculty have taught us to be men of character and resilience,” Daniel said. “They have made St. Mark’s our home, and we are grateful for the formative role that St. Mark’s has played in our lives. We look forward to impacting our School, as so many men have done before us. The Class of 2020 is ready to serve this community as alumni, and our work begins today.”

Over the past two decades, each senior class has made a Legacy Gift at graduation, ensuring the long-term financial health of the School they love.
