Mathletes Take First Place

On Saturday, January 11, 2020, the St. Mark’s Math Team competed in the Dallas Metroplex Math Competition hosted by Trinity Valley. In categories ranging from Algebra to Calculus, two dozen Upper and Middle School mathletes achieved top finishes in nearly every category. After completing the individual rounds, St. Mark’s took home the Sweepstakes trophy as the top-placing team at the competition.

“The team’s veterans did very well but the quantity and performance of the Middle School participants was especially satisfying and provides a glimpse of the burgeoning talent that will continue to develop and provide future success for the program,” said St. Mark’s math teacher Cory Martin, who sponsors the Math Team along with Amy Pool, Sally & Edward Genecov Master Teaching Chair.
