Lion Sports Update 05/22

While the school year draws to a close, St. Mark’s athletes are still going strong.

On Saturday, May 18, three Marksmen competed in the Fourth Annual Texas Track & Field Coaches' Association (TTFCA) Meet of Champions, held at Antonian High School in San Antonio.
  • Sophomore Kit Colson placed second in the 100m and third in the 200m. 
  • Junior Pablo Arroyo placed fifth in the 800m with a personal record time of 1:56.44.
  • Junior Andres Arroyo placed seventh in the 1600m with a personal record time of 4:24.13.

Varsity crew will compete at the national level later this summer. Earlier this month at the USRowing Central Youth Championship Regatta, St. Mark’s earned second place in the Men’s Youth 2x (Christian Duessel ’20 and Billy Lockhart ’20) and the Men’s Youth 4x (Christian Duessel ’20, Jack Trahan ’20, Blake Hudspeth ’21, Billy Lockhart ’20). These finished qualified both boats for the Youth National Regatta, held next month in Sarasota, Florida.
