McDonald's Week

Next week, the Junior Class will host their annual McDonald's Week right here on campus. McDonald's Week was rescheduled from its traditional November date as a result of last October's tornado. This year's theme is "McStar Wars" and all proceeds benefit Austin Street Center, the largest privately-funded homeless shelter in Dallas.

McDonald's Week activities will be held before school on Monday–Thursday, March 2–5, starting at 7:30 a.m. on campus. These activities include:
  • Monday: Light Saber Battle
  • Tuesday: Baby Yoda Soup Relay Race
  • Wednesday: Chemistry Show
  • Thursday: Dodgeball ("All-Day" Day)*

*Please note that "All-Day" Day has been moved to Thursday, due to the possibility of rain earlier in the week.

The McDonald's at Central & Royal has graciously donated all of the food for the week. Students will be able to grab food before school and all day on Tuesday. The food will be available free of charge, with cash donations accepted instead. T-Shirts and wristbands will be sold before school along with raffle tickets. Winners will be announced on Friday, March 13.

Along with our morning events, there will be dinner nights at three Preston-Royal restaurants who have agreed to donate a percentage of their proceeds to Austin Street Center, so we would greatly appreciate your willingness to attend dinner one or more of the following nights. Make sure to mention that you are with St. Mark's!
  • Monday, March 2 – Cantina Laredo
  • Tuesday, Marah 3 – Shake Shack
  • Wednesday, March 4 – Flower Child

Thank you for supporting McDonald's Week and our ongoing commitment to Austin Street Center.
