Planetarium Show: Star of Bethlehem

All shows have sold out. We are looking into the possibility of adding additional showtimes. Check back soon!

Come to the Winn Science Center's planetarium for holidays under the stars. Dr. Steve Balog, Cecil H. & Ida Green Master Teaching Chair in Science, will lead a special presentation on the Star of Bethlehem. The star has become an iconic symbol of the Christmas season but what do astronomers think about this phenomenon?

Dr. Balog will also provide a tour of the night sky, pointing out the constellations, planets, and other sights visible from Dallas. The St. Mark's Upper School Chorus will even make a special guest appearance, singing Christmas carols in a video shot especially for the planetarium dome.
