1965 Season

The Chairs

Harlequin Players' third production, a pair of one-act plays, featured Eugene Ionesco's The Chairs and Tennessee Williams' This Property Is Condemned.   With themes of world destruction, suicide, and the meaninglessness of life, Ionesco's theatre-of-the-absurd The Chairs was a daring choice for a high school drama group in 1965 Dallas; several audience members walked out during the performance. The three roles were filled by Kimberly Webb, Frances Alford, and Frank Murray.
