Parents' Association Joint Meeting at Hockaday

Joint Hockaday/St. Mark’s Parent Meeting (at Hockaday)
St. Mark’s and Hockaday parents will come together at Hockaday in the Nancy A. Nasher and David J. Haemisegger Family Center for the Arts Theater for our annual joint meeting. Guest speaker, Ms. Kristin Bemis, Med, LPC-S, RPT-S, of the East Dallas Counseling Group, will lead a discussion on Mindful Parenting – Building Emotional Resilience in Us and Our Kids. The discussion will look at shifting our focus from happiness to emotional health and intelligence, how to support the development of emotional regulation, and how to cultivate improved tolerance of emotional distress in your child and in yourself as the parent. Afterward, stay to vote on the Slate of Officers for the 2020-2021 Parents’ Association Executive Committee. A casual breakfast will be provided from 7:30–8:15 a.m.
