    Hello, Parents!

It was so nice to see many of you at last week’s Moms’ Night and Spring Birthday Party! A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful hostesses, Sheetal and Reval, and to the C’Ganti family for opening their home and creating such a fun and memorable evening - it was truly appreciated by all. We also extend our gratitude to the Spring Birthday Coordinators and the many moms who helped make the celebration so special. Seeing the boys racing down the slides with big smiles on their faces was such a joy!

Looking ahead, please note there will be no school on April 3 (Good Friday) or April 8–10 (ISAS Festival). If you haven’t already, we encourage you to sign up for virtual parent-teacher conferences. And don’t forget to mark your calendars for our 1st Grade Fine Arts Night on April 29 - it’s always a sweet and memorable event you won’t want to miss!

Finally, please note our campus will be closed during the ISAS Festival.  Only parents who have volunteered for a festival shift will be allowed on campus.

  • ISAS Fine Arts Festival (Apr. 9-11, 2026)

This spring, St. Mark’s will host the 60th annual ISAS Fine Arts Festival, welcoming thousands of high school students and teachers from across the southwest to campus for a three-day celebration of the arts April 9-11, 2026. The Festival is intended to foster high standards and stimulate creativity in the performing and visual arts programs of the schools and in the individual endeavors of students and teachers.

Campus will be closed from Apr. 8-11, 2026; only Upper School participants and parent volunteers will be able to attend.

As we prepare to host this event, parents from all grade levels are encouraged to sign up to help make the Festival a success and to make our campus a welcoming space for visiting students and teachers.

The Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS) Arts Festival began in 1967 and has since grown to be the nation’s premier annual regional arts festival among independent schools. Typically occurring each spring at a different member school campus, the Festival is a collaborative enterprise featuring an average of 40 participating schools and approximately 3,000 high school students. From its inception, rather than a competition for prizes or rankings, the ISAS Arts Festival has been designed as a celebration of sharing and learning with critiques by professional artists and performers. This approach has fostered creativity and experimentation and has proven to be an exceptional opportunity for schools to come together to understand and to appreciate qualities in one another’s programs and facilities. The Festival has been instrumental in the development of strong arts programs in participating ISAS Member Schools and richly inspirational to their students.

Outreach

Our school-wide Outreach Coordinator is Johannah Kersey. You may contact Johannah directly at johannahkersey@yahoo.com, or we can contact her on your behalf in the event that you or someone you know in our class community is experiencing a difficult time. Please be sensitive and use thoughtfulness when communicating about the situation. Johannah will be a liaison to Father Arbogast, who will coordinate all School outreach care. She will then follow up with the class reps as appropriate.
