Welcome back! We hope everyone enjoyed time off to relax and spend time with family and friends.
The boys celebrated Mrs. Pigg’s birthday on Tuesday, March 24. The entrance to her class door was decorated with a birthday banner, and she was surprised with her favorite red roses and gifts. She was given an embroidered blue apron from the Class of 2036, a silicone mat (she loves to cook), and a jar with positive notes shaped like pigs! The boys sang "Happy Birthday" and gave her a signed card. Thank you Rose, Lisa and Eric Steinhoff for coordinating.
We are still working on the possibility of a Dads' night out. We hope to secure a date in early May. If anyone is interested in helping coordinate please reach out to us!

This spring, St. Mark’s will host the 60th annual ISAS Fine Arts Festival, welcoming thousands of high school students and teachers from across the southwest to campus for a three-day celebration of the arts April 9-11, 2026. The Festival is intended to foster high standards and stimulate creativity in the performing and visual arts programs of the schools and in the individual endeavors of students and teachers.
Campus will be closed from Apr. 8-11, 2026; only Upper School participants and parent volunteers will be able to attend.
As we prepare to host this event, parents from all grade levels are encouraged tosign upto help make the Festival a success and to make our campus a welcoming space for visiting students and teachers.
The Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS) Arts Festival began in 1967 and has since grown to be the nation’s premier annual regional arts festival among independent schools. Typically occurring each spring at a different member school campus, the Festival is a collaborative enterprise featuring an average of 40 participating schools and approximately 3,000 high school students. From its inception, rather than a competition for prizes or rankings, the ISAS Arts Festival has been designed as a celebration of sharing and learning with critiques by professional artists and performers. This approach has fostered creativity and experimentation and has proven to be an exceptional opportunity for schools to come together to understand and to appreciate qualities in one another’s programs and facilities. The Festival has been instrumental in the development of strong arts programs in participating ISAS Member Schools and richly inspirational to their students.

She will then follow up with the class reps as appropriate.
