“Picking an MVP this year was hard for a couple of reasons. First, Tristan Doan and Daniel Sanchez were both deserving of the award. Both were outstanding players, leaders, and teammates. Each could take over a match and dominate or encourage teammates to do the same if necessary. The second reason it was hard to decide on the MVP was that there was not much of a season to really assess who was going to stand out. We were able to get 6 matches in and won 5 of them. Tristan and Daniel played their roles as was expected. They are great kids, each with different styles of leadership, but effective either way you look at it. With that being said, I have decided (for the first time) to give the MVP award to two players: Tristan Doan and Daniel Sanchez. I look forward to being able to congratulate them in person.”
