  • Snacks

Selections will include items such as fresh fruit, string cheese, and granola bars. For more information about menus and food service, download the Touch of Sage App for your mobile device.
  • Clothing Drive

Covid-19 has impacted our communities and our partner agencies in ways that are hard to fully comprehend today, and it is hard to know the long-term effects these circumstances will have on our communities.

However, the needs of our community are still present and have more than likely increased. Therefore, we have been working hard to find new ways to face today’s challenges. Our goal for Community Service is to find new ways to achieve the same end: serve the needs of our neighbors.

Next week, on Monday, September 14, we will start our annual clothing drive which this year will benefit St. Vincent de Paul and their clients. The drive will last for two weeks, ending on Friday, September 25.

In order to comply with health requirements, the drive will take place according to the instructions below:

    Students must:
    • Bag their donations.
    • Deposit the bag DIRECTLY into the St. Vincent de Paul donation bins by the batting cages close to the Preston Road entrance. Please see location below.
    • Set their bags by the bins, if the donation bins are full. (SVDP will empty the bins periodically)
    • NOT bring their donations into the school.
    • NOT hand their donation to other students.

Adhering to this method of collection will result in zero contact between members of the St. Mark’s community and clothing, allowing for a safer school environment for all of us. SVDP workers will be handling all donations. There will also not be any storage of clothes in the student waiting room in Nearburg.

Please contact Jorge Correa or Isabel Cisneros with any questions or concerns.
  • Masks

The provided St. Mark’s masks are considered part of the school uniform and should be worn to school each day.  If boys choose to wear a second mask it can be worn under the school-issued mask. If a student chooses to wear a higher-level protective mask in class, they may remove the uniform mask during class and put it back on at the end of class.
  • SchoolPass Daily Wellness Check for Students

Middle School boys or their parents should complete the SchoolPass Wellness Check each day prior to arriving on campus.  If you have questions about SchoolPass, please contact Nurse Julie at doergej@smtexas.org.
  • 5/6th Grade PE Shirts

As students return to campus, fifth- and sixth-grade boys will need to bring a reversible St. Mark’s PE shirt. If your son has a PE shirt from last year, please include it in his backpack. If your son needs a shirt, we will distribute them on the week of September 8, and charge them to Student Store accounts ($18). Shorts and locker combination locks are not needed at this time.

Throughout the fall, coaches will provide asynchronous skill development and fitness related information for Middle School boys.
