Spring Sports Claim Victories

The varsity golf team defeated Trinity Valley last Thursday by a score of 5-1.  Individual results were:

Match #1: Cameron Clark ’16 (SM) defeated Kenneth McIntyre (TVS) 3 & 2
Match #2: Matt Genecov ’13 (SM) defeated Holder Harrison (TVS) 1 Up
Match #3: Garrett Glanton ’15 (SM) defeated Austin Henyon (TVS) 4 & 3
Match #4: Weston Blair ’15 (SM) defeated James Roberts (TVS) 5 & 4
Match #5: Ryan Miller ’13 (SM) defeated Michael Odom (TVS) 5 & 4
Match #6: Harry Herz ’15 (SM) lost to Charlie Parrish (TVS) 1 Down
 
The varsity lacrosse team played three games this past week and remained undefeated by beating Southlake-Carroll (11-8), Plano (13-0), and The University School – Memphis, TN (5-4 in 2OT).  The team plays one game this week, as they will host  hosting ESD on Friday night at 7:00 pm in what will likely determine the #1 seed in the SPC North Zone and a first round bye at the SPC tournament.
 
The varsity tennis team played two matches last week against conference opponents.  They beat Trinity Valley 5-0 in a friendly match and then beat Ft. Worth Country Day 4-1 in the first SPC counter match of the season.  They play Parish Episcopal at home today at 4:30 pm, and then go to Greenhill for a counter match on Thursday at 4:00.
 
The varsity baseball team played in the Cowtown Classic in Ft. Worth this past weekend.  They lost to Covenant Christian 0-2 in the opener, but bounced back against DCHE with a 10-3 win and then posted a 17-2 win over Lake Country Christian.  They played Trinity Valley in the consolation championship and lost 12-13.
 
The varsity water polo team competed in the Denton Tournament on Saturday evening.  They beat both teams they faced (Denton-Guyer  and Rockwall) to win the tournament.  They play the Dallas Water Polo Club today at home at 7:00 pm.
