No Shave November for Men's Health

Scruffy Upper Schoolers and faculty members proudly showed off the results of No Shave November, which raised both funds and awareness for men’s health throughout the month. By purchasing wristbands and socks, Upper School students were excused from the School’s clean-shaven dress code policy. Led by the Student Council, this year’s No Shave November raised approximately $2,000 for the American Cancer Society and focused on the importance of taking care of specific men’s health issues before they can lead to more significant health issues.

“Almost every Upper Schooler loves not having to shave, and since we are at an all-boy school, these diseases and conditions can affect any one of us. While we may not be the ones dealing with any of these health issues now, we might have to fight them one day,” said Blake DeSantis ’18, who helped lead this year’s program, along with Canyon Kyle ’18, Edward Ro ’18, and Andre Arsenault ’18.
