Lions Prepare for Fall Football

The Lions Varsity Football team has been hard at work this summer, preparing for the 2012 football season. Following two months of summer workouts, the team reported on August 6th for camp. The intuitive two-a-day schedule with split morning and evening practices, as well as an absence of consecutive two-a-days, has allowed Lion athletes to practice hard and rest well.

The Lions will look to improve on last year’s 7-2 record and third place SPC finish, returning a notable seven starters on offense. This season, for the first time, the SPC will have a playoff system with two reconfigured divisions sending their best two teams to compete for the Division I and II titles. The Lions' first home game is September 14th against Cistercian starting at 7:30 PM at Norma & Lamar Hunt Family Stadium.
