McDonald’s Week Kicks Off
On Monday morning, November 14, the Class of 2018 kicked off their annual McDonald’s Week fundraiser in support of Austin Street Center. Throughout this week, students from St. Mark’s and Hockaday will gather at the Preston-Royal McDonald’s for McHogwarts, a Harry Potter-inspired week of activity. This morning, students and faculty participated in the Tri-Wizard Challenge, an obstacle course of death-defying feats. Head of Upper School Patrick Andrén narrowly bested Eugene McDermott Headmaster David Dini to win the faculty round.
By the end of the week, students raised more than $10,000 for Austin Street Center. The Junior Classes from St. Mark's and Hockaday will also distribute more than 2,000 meals at Austin Street Center in December.
