On Friday, December 8, 2006, St. Mark’s announced a $5,000,000 challenge grant given by Julie and Ken Hersh ’81. Their gift, in memory of Robert K. Hoffman ’65, will support the construction of the Robert K. Hoffman ’65 Center.

St. Mark’s is preparing for the culmination of the school’s 100th Anniversary when alumni, parents, and friends will gather on campus for Centennial Weekend on April 20-21, 2007. The Weekend will include the Spring Alumni Dinner Friday evening where Steve Miller ’61 will be honored with the 2007 Distinguished Alumnus Award. A community-wide outdoor Celebration will be held Saturday afternoon/evening and include a concert in Hunt Stadium with student and alumni performances.

On August 29, 2006, St. Mark’s School of Texas officially kicked off its Centennial year at the opening convocation.

On Thursday, April 27, 2006, St. Mark's School of Texas announced that it had received a gift of $10,000,000 from Dallas civic leaders Harlan and Kathy Crow. The gift is the largest in the school’s nearly one-hundred year history and the largest gift ever to an independent school in the state of Texas.
