On June 18-21, Swayze Smartt ’07 and Jordan Blumenthal ’08 competed against more than 200 teams at the National Forensic League’s National Tournament.

Over the weekend of May 4-6, the debate team traveled to Lexington, Kentucky, to participate in the Tournament of Champions.

St. Mark’s top two debate teams have been competing fiercely over the past few weeks, establishing themselves among the top five in the country.

While many of you started the holiday break on December 15th, the debate team packed up their tubs and headed to California for competition at the University of Southern California's Round Robin and the Golden West Championships hosted by the University of Redlands.

This past weekend seniors Tom Ferenc and David Lee had an outstanding showing at the Tournament of Champions (TOC) held annually in Lexington, Kentucky.

This past weekend (February 17-19) the debate team had a very successful tournament at the University of California-Berkeley.

Back-to-Back Wins at major debate tournaments in that past few weeks have created momentum for the St. Mark's debaters.

This past weekend the St. Mark's debate squad travelled to the University of Texas to compete in both novice and varsity debate. In the varsity division five St. Marks teams competed against over 100 teams from throughout the country with the sophomores showing they will be a force to be reckoned with for the next two years and the seniors proving they are already among the top twenty teams in the country.

Two St. Mark's debate teams competed in the Greenhill Invitational on the weekend of September 16-18.

Second year debaters David Lee ’06 and Swayze Smartt ’07 reached the semi-finals at the Woodward Academy's debate tournament over the April 2-3 weekend.

On March 11 & 12, the St. Mark's Debate Team hosted its first Annual Freshman-Sophomore Debate Tournament.

Two freshmen debate teams took on 44 other teams at the March 305 North East Novice Championships in New Hampshire and came away with the top prize.

Marksmen Tom Ferenc ’06 and Lee Becker ’05 reached the Quarterfinals in the JV National Championships held at Woodward Academy in Atlanta.

This past weekend, February 13-16, several Marksmen debaters competed at the University of California Berkeley's Debate Tournament.

Varsity and JV Debate teams competed in the California Cup on Saturday and Sunday, November 1st and 2nd and came away with some top honors.

Over 300 debaters from more than 30 different states representing 115 schools will descend on the St. Mark's campus this weekend for the Heart of Texas Invitational debate tournament. The tournament is open to the public with events taking place Friday and Saturday on the St. Mark's campus and on Sunday at the Sheraton Park Central Hotel.

Seniors Mason Depasse and Jordan Wolf solidified their ranking as one of the top twenty debate teams in the country at a competition held Septmebr 20-21 at Greenhill.
