Upper School English Instructor
 
St. Mark’s School of Texas seeks a teacher of English for the 2012-2013 school year.  A strong candidate will hold at least a Master’s degree in English, experience teaching English to high school students, and a proven record of outstanding classroom instruction. The successful candidate will teach at one or two grade levels from ninth through twelfth. Outside the classroom, the teacher will fill a combination of roles such as advising students, coaching a sport, and/or sponsoring a club. Head Varsity Wrestling Coach
 
St. Mark's School of Texas, a day school for over 800 boys, seeks candidates for Head Varsity Wrestling Coach beginning August 2012. The successful candidate will manage the entire wrestling program including varsity, J.V., 7th, and 8th grade teams. As a member of the faculty, he or she will answer directly to the athletic director and/or to an academic department chair, be responsible for the behavior and conduct of established and part-time coaches, maintain qualified assistants, and manage a historically successful program that includes approximately 50 athletes from grades 7-12.   
 
A strong candidate will have high school coaching experience at an independent or public school, be able to develop non-wrestlers into wrestlers, manage travel, tournaments, and camp/clinic opportunities, and be able to teach an academic discipline or physical education. The next head coach will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; will be dynamic, creative, flexible, energetic, and able to uphold the school’s mission statement. Though NCAA wrestling experience is not mandatory, it is strongly preferred.
