Episcopal Chaplain
St. Mark’s School of Texas seeks an Episcopal Chaplain for the 2010-2011 school year. The Chaplain, who reports to the Headmaster, is the spiritual leader of the St. Mark’s community. He is responsible for the overall direction of the Chapel program, and for ministering to the community in times of need.
Other more specific responsibilities of the Chaplain:
• administers the Chapel program of six services per week and special services as needed and desired.
• provides pastoral counseling and support to the entire school community
• works with the Upper, Middle, and Lower School chapel committees to elicit student input on the shaping of the Chapel program
• coordinates the following services:
Opening and Spring Convocations
Thanksgiving Service
Advent Service of Lessons and Carols
All-School Christmas Party
Baccalaureate
Weddings, funerals, and other services as needed
• officiates at monthly Evensong services
• teaches, coaches, and advises according to his talents and the needs of the school
• serves as a member of the Administrative Team.
